The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager collaborates with all departments to support the business to improve and simplify existing processes. This role delivers sustainable operational improvements and results in safety, quality, customer service and productivity by leading and managing large-scale projects and teams, and additionally ensures that new processes contain and use continuous improvement methodologies. The CI Manager engages functional leaders, salaried and hourly employees across all manufacturing operations and other departments in creating and sustaining a LEAN / CI culture.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
•As an expert in the use of the Lean tools with a comprehensive knowledge of the philosophy, utliize PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) methodologies to successfully lead and manage completion of continuous improvement projects within a given time frame to meet the department or facility goals/KPIs in safety, quality, customer service, productivity, efficiency and cost
•Lead salaried and hourly employees assigned to CI teams in LEAN disciplines and processes to accomplish assigned stated CI projects. Responsible and accountable for CI teams meeting or exeeding project goals
•Apply E3 concept (Engage, Enable, Empower) with project activities to ensure project sustainability with the work force and management teams
•Identify LEAN / CI needs of assigned departments including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Technical Services, Warehouse, Planning, Safety, Office, and Others, and develop implementation plans with department leads and CI Director
•Provide monthly report out to CI Director on completed projects and assist in presentation to plant managers and other departmental leaders as required
•Prepare and deliver LEAN / CI training to employees

Desired Skills & Experience

Education: Minimum University Bachelor Degree

Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience

Skills/Specific Experience required:
•LEAN certification / Six Sigma training or comparable
•Demonstrated successful project management capabilities in a LEAN / CI environment, measured through KPI metrics and results
•Passion for Continuous Improvement and knowledge/proven abilities in Change Management philosophies and practices
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Excellent leadership skills and an ability to lead and influence people at all levels
•Innovative thinking and problem solving skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
