After discovering that many of her beloved skin care products were leaving unhealthy levels of toxins and chemicals behind in her body, Tata Harper decided to revolutionize skincare, and founded her own brand specializing in natural, organic, chemical and toxin free products. Recently, I was invited to Kiss and Makeup to meet the inspiring woman behind the eponymous brand; with the tag line of “100% Natural & Non-Toxic Beauty”, I was intrigued to learn more.

“The body absorbs synthetic toxins through the skin – many of which cannot be processed by our liver and are dumped back into our bloodstream as toxins”, Tata explained as she worked the products into my skin, “I don’t use Vitamin C in my products because there is no natural source of the vitamin that can penetrate the skin”. Tata’s philosophy is one she really lives by – many of the ingredients are harvested on the 12,000 acre Vermont farm she calls home, and the formulations are mixed at a lab on the property. Talk about hands on!

Working with botanists, chemists and biologists, Tata formulated her line using effective and revolutionary organic botanicals, rare oils and vitamins from natural sources; each product in the line contains an impressive 6-29 active ingredients, and no chemical fillers.
