Early September is one of the best times to be in Toronto, as the Toronto International Film Festival brings so much hype and excitement to the city, you never know who you might catch walking down the street! As always, my favorite part is checking out all of the great hair and makeup looks and finding out how I can recreate them without the five person glam squad. Here are the top selections that I’ll be copying all the way through Fall and in to Winter:
Kristen Stewart
In the middle of a big scandal, K-Stew held her head high and swiped on a bold lip color with a high texturized ponytail to premiere her newest film ‘On the Road’. Her subtle grey shadow perfectly complimented her bright pink lip shade, and this was a softer look for the actress who usually sticks to her signature smoky eye with a nude lip.

Diane Kruger
Diane Kruger always gets it right, and the truth is that no one can pull off a topknot on the red carpet quite like her. Diane’s mega lashes took center stage with lighter pink shades on the cheeks and lips. This looks screams polished but is super simple to recreate for any occasion.

Nina Dobrev
Young Hollywood should take notes from Nina’s red carpet looks. Instead of overdoing it, Nina enhanced her natural beauty with neutral shades and some smoky liner. With her hair off of her shoulders in a gorgeous up-do to flatter her strapless dress, she exuded sophistication and did us fellow Canadian girls proud!

Selena Gomez
Selena is another young starlet who does red carpet beauty on-point time and time again. Selena brought attention to her eyes with some faux lashes and tons of mascara, which is never a bad thing unless it starts to clump and look a bit spidery – yikes! Selena completed her look with light pink lipstick and rosy blush, both pretty and age appropriate.

Anna Kendrick
Thank goodness ponytails are everywhere – even with only taking a couple minutes it can look runway and celeb inspired with minimal effort! Anna went for a smokey eye and peach blush to compliment her enviable porcelain skin. With those gorgeous full brows that I would do almost anything for, again, natural beauty always wins.

Emma Watson
I’ll be sitting in front of my mirror for as long as it takes to get this gorgeous halo braid down. Emma’s messy texturized braid added a youthful touch to her red carpet look and it definitely was the best hairstyle I had seen during TIFF. The ‘Perks of a Wallflower’ actress is right on trend, as the style was also seen all over the Fall 2012 runways. Fingers crossed that I can master this with a little practice.
