Hairstylist Jobs – Braided Maidens

Admittedly, there are many mysteries about women, especially through the eyes of men, though I would have to say, in my opinion, mystery #267 is their inexplicable collective secret desire to be Princess of the Mermaid-Fairy Goddess’… well, at least when it comes to their hair. My theory is overexposure to childhood tall-tales, because like moths to a flame, a girls’ eyes will light-up at the mere sound of the word ‘braid.’ Fortunately, the French-braided updo is undoubtedly always an endearing classic, so come the Fall/Winter season, take a whimsical approach to your hairstyle of choice.

To best execute the look: run a medium-barrel curling iron through large sections of your hair, and tousle your waves before setting them with some finishing spray like L’Oreal’s Elnett Satin Hairspray. Then part a section of your hair and separate it into three strands, beginning to create a braid but inter-lock the next section of hair with the outside strand and repeat. Continue until the end and then secure with an elastic, lightly pulling on the braid to add volume and enhance texture. Finish by rolling the ends into a French-twist and lock it in with bobby-pins to keep the style secure. Compliment this ethereal look with some light dewy makeup or a bold lip and Volià! You’re ready to run barefoot through the rose garden – uh, I mean hit the town!
